Meet Our Photographers
At Mind of Mo Photography, our team is made up of both Lead and Assistant Photographers, Planners, Coordinators, and Officiants, who work exclusively for our company. Our staff has trained and worked together since 2016, which leads to a fluid, consistent final product. Our Lead Photographers also continue to work as assistants for one another, with the goal of constant learning and teamwork. Lead & Assistant Photographers are assigned based on availability and venue experience. Clients have the option to choose their Lead Photographer for a nominal fee.

Maurissa
Owner, Lead Photographer, Wedding + Event Planner, Day-Of Coordinator, & Officiant
Maurissa started Mind of Mo Photography in 2015, with the goal to bring affordable, personal wedding photography to couples throughout the Midwest. She soon expanded to Mind of Mo Weddings + Events, offering wedding planning, coordination, and officiating services in addition to photography. Maurissa manages all social media platforms & marketing for the company, as well as shooting 20-30 weddings a year. Maurissa's couples have complimented her on her laid-back, relaxed approach to weddings, as well as her organization and drive to go above and beyond for her clients.
Along with her Twin Cities weddings, Maurissa specializes in "destination" weddings and is our go-to photographer for events outside of Minnesota - so far, she has worked in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, California, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan - and looks forward to expanding this list every year!
Maurissa was an "end of Covid" bride, and was married in 2021 after navigating the chaos of planning a wedding during a pandemic! Her and her husband have two daughters and one son, along with their pup Dublin and kitty Murphy. Endless chaos!
In her (limited) spare time, Maurissa enjoys hiking, fishing, visiting local wineries, and reading thriller or horror novels.

Sean
Lead Photographer, Day-Of Coordinator, Officiant
Sean began his career with Mind of Mo Weddings + Events in 2015, when he worked exclusively as Maurissa's second shooter and assistant. Sean has had a passion for photography his whole life, and still works with film photography as a hobby. Sean began working as a lead photographer with us in 2016 and since then, shoots 15-20 weddings a year for Mind of Mo. Sean's clients often gush about his ability to wrangle family & bridal party, and how quick and efficient he is when it comes to family and group photos. Sean is also a MASTER with kids and is our company's recommended photographer for family, newborn, and senior photos.
Sean has become an asset to couples thanks to his extensive knowledge of and familiarity with wedding venues throughout the entire state. Sean has experience shooting everywhere from Duluth, to the Twin Cities, to Fargo!
When he has a day off, Sean enjoys camping, canoeing, gardening, visiting the North Shore, or reading a good book.

Megan
Lead Photographer, Day-Of Coordinator
Megan started with Mind of Mo Weddings + Events as an assistant photographer in 2018, and was promoted to a lead photographer in 2019. Megan quickly grew to become a core member of the team, and now has a full schedule each year, packed with both photography and coordination gigs. Megan has experience at numerous wedding venues throughout the state and her portfolio ranges from farms to ballrooms, and everything in-between. Megan is a true workhorse and takes her job (and her couples) very seriously!
In her free time, Megan enjoys spending time with friends and family (she is very social!). Megan also enjoys fishing and spending time outside, and is currently learning how to woodwork with a lathe - so cool!

Allie
Lead Photographer, Wedding + Event Planner, Day-Of Coordinator, Officiant
Allie is a passionate wedding photographer who finds joy in capturing the love stories of couples on their special day. She started her connection to Mind of Mo Weddings as a bride, and quickly discovered her connection to wedding planning and photography. Allie thrives on connecting with others, making each wedding experience unique and personal. Allie's couples love her chipper and outgoing personality, and her ability to keep things moving smoothly!
When she’s not working, Allie is a proud single mom who cherishes time spent with her daughter and boyfriend. As a full-time college student, she is dedicated to her studies, working toward a master’s degree, and balancing it all with the hope of becoming a homeowner in the next few years. Allie pours her heart into everything she does, especially in the wedding industry, and is committed to creating lasting memories for every couple she works with.

Raquel
Assistant Photographer, Wedding + Event Planner, Day-Of Coordinator
Raquel (she/her) started with Mind of Mo Photography in 2025. Raquel was a Mind of Mo bride, and worked with Maurissa for her wedding, maternity photos, and first birthday photos for her son. Sean did a 30th birthday shoot for her, and Megan did newborn photos. She loved working with Mind of Mo Photography so much, so had to be a part of the team!
Photography was a part of her Bachelor's degree, and it is something that she enjoys. Finding the perfect shot, especially candids, are her favorite! Raquel has also planned events for family and friends, and it is something that she unexpectedly found a spark for after working in the aquatics world for over 14 years.
Raquel enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, playing card games and Yahtzee, and finding a moment to read a good book.

Gracie
Assistant Photographer, Wedding + Event Planner, Day-Of Coordinator
Gracie joined the Mind of Mo team in 2024 as an Assistant Photographer, Planner, and Coordinator. Gracie has been obsessed with all things wedding-related since she was a little girl, always dreaming of her own special day. Now that she's successfully planned her own wedding, she's only grown to love the industry more - and has a thorough understanding of all of the work that it takes to make that magic happen!
Gracie's favorite part of a wedding day is seeing all of the personalities shine throughout the candid, little moments.
In her free time, Gracie enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her family and her husband!

Blair
Assistant Photographer
Blair was introduced to the Mind of Mo team when he met his now-wife Maurissa, and she suckered him into joining the team (mostly kidding). Blair brings a great energy to the wedding day, as he is relaxed and goofy, while still providing a professional and focused approach to the day. Blair works as an assistant photographer for the team, with the goal of transitioning to a lead photographer down the road!
When he's not working, Blair enjoys shooting pool, golfing, eating steak, and making craft old fashioned cocktails. Blair was born and raised in the Chaska area, and now lives in Belle Plaine with his wife, Maurissa, their three kiddos, and their pets.
