Meet Our Photographers
At Mind of Mo Photography, our team is made up of both Lead and Assistant Photographers, who work exclusively for our company. Our staff has trained and worked together since 2016, which leads a fluid, consistent final product. Our Lead Photographers also continue to work as assistants for one another, with the goal of constant learning and teamwork. Clients choose their own Lead Photographer - Assistant Photographers are assigned based on availability and venue experience.
Maurissa
Owner, Lead Photographer
Maurissa started Mind of Mo Photography in 2015, with the goal to bring affordable, personal wedding photography to couples throughout the Midwest. Maurissa manages all social media platforms & marketing for the company, as well as shooting 20-30 weddings a year. Maurissa's couples have complimented her on her laid-back, relaxed approach to weddings, as well as her organization and drive to go above and beyond for her clients.
Along with her Twin Cities weddings, Maurissa specializes in "destination" weddings and is our go-to photographer for events in Duluth, Brainerd, Lutsen, Grand Marais, and Alexandria.
Maurissa was an "end of Covid" bride, and was married in 2021 after navigating the chaos of planning a wedding during a pandemic! Her and her husband have two daughters, and are expecting their third baby in August.
In her spare time, Maurissa enjoys hiking, fishing, visiting local wineries, and hanging out with her family and their fur babies, Wrigley, Murphy, & Dublin.

Sean
Lead Photographer
Sean began his career with Mind of Mo Photography in 2015, when he worked exclusively as Maurissa's second shooter and assistant. Sean has had a passion for photography his whole life, and still works with film photography as a hobby. Sean began working as a lead photographer with us in 2016 and since then, shoots 15-20 weddings a year for Mind of Mo. Sean's clients often gush about his ability to wrangle family & bridal party, and how quick and efficient he is when it comes to family and group photos. Sean is also a MASTER with kids and is our company's recommended photographer for family, newborn, and senior photos.
Sean has become an asset to couples thanks to his extensive knowledge of and familiarity with wedding venues throughout the entire state. Sean has experience shooting everywhere from Duluth, to the Twin Cities, to Fargo!
When he has a day off, Sean enjoys camping, canoeing, gardening, visiting the North Shore, or reading a good book.

Megan
Lead Photographer
Megan started with Mind of Mo Photography as an assistant photographer in 2018, and was promoted to a lead photographer in 2019. Megan has truly blossomed into an amazing photographer, and now shoots 10-15 weddings a year as a Lead, as well as a fully-packed second shooter schedule. Megan has experience at numerous wedding venues throughout the state and her portfolio ranges from farms to ballrooms, and everything in-between. Megan is a true workhorse and takes her job (and her couples) very seriously!
In her free time, Megan enjoys spending time with friends and family (she is very social!). Megan also enjoys fishing and spending time outside, and is currently learning how to woodwork with a lathe - so cool!

Blair, Thomas, & Allison
Did you know that many photographers will "contract out" their assistants, meaning they've never even worked with them before? We are blessed to have three amazing assistant photographers on our team, who shoot exclusively for us and are in the process of finishing their training to become lead photographers for us!
Whenever our lead shooters don't have a wedding of their own, they act as assistants/second shooters for the team as well.
We believe that one of our biggest strengths as a company is that our team works together every single weekend, giving us familiarity, experience, and dependability - along with the uncanny ability to often read each other's minds and anticipate each other's next moves!
