Can I just say how much I already love these two? I met Shelby at one of our wedding expos in Rochester, and I knew after five minutes of chatting with her that we were going to get along just perfectly. She was so straightforward, calm, and laid back, and I was SO excited when I got her email asking me to officially photograph her big day. We decided pretty quickly on winter engagement photos, and finally settled on the Plummer House in Rochester for our backdrop - which is one of my favorite spots in the area and never disappoints!
I hadn't met Ethan until our session that day, but immediately loved him. He is SUCH a goofball, and had Shelby laughing literally our entire session. It was so much fun! Some couples might complain or clam up in negative degree weather, but these two had a blast and absolutely killed it. There was no shortage of laughs and it became obvious right away that Ethan knows how to push Shelby's buttons, but in a fun and loving way.
I mean seriously, look at these smiles! Does it get any better than that? One of the things that made this session so much fun was that these two were honestly up for anything. Whether we were trudging through snowbanks up to our knees, or throwing off jackets to pose in the wind and the cold, Ethan & Shelby jumped in 100%, smiling and joking the whole time.
I do have to take a quick second to show off Shelby's right - isn't it stunning??
I was also lucky enough to meet Tatum, their adorable son, during our session. While he managed to keep himself warm in the running truck while we did most of our adventuring, he snuck out with us for a few minutes to grab some quick family photos. What a ham! He was totally loving his "cheese" moments and I've already come up with a million photo ideas for him once the wedding day rolls around.
Shelby & Ethan, thank you so much for the fun, brisk morning! I am so in love with this session, and with both of you, and I seriously cannot wait for your big day. October can't come soon enough!
