Ellie & Dan
Wedding Love Story
April 29th, 2017
Ellie and Dan are the epitome of the perfect couple. I first met these wonderful people when we grabbed dinner to discuss their big day. They sheepishly admitted that they had met online, which was a shock to me, only because of how absolutely perfectly they fit together. Ellie is such a sweet, caring woman and it’s pretty obvious why Dan fell for her – although I’m sure her natural beauty didn’t hurt, either.
Dan & Ellie had a wedding day that was just as perfect as they are. Ellie’s gorgeous dress fit her perfectly, and stole the show from the get-go. She was just a tad nervous on her wedding morning, and opted for a private first-look with Dan before the ceremony began. I’m so so so happy she did – the emotion was so absolutely beautiful, and it made for some wonderful photos, too.
Their ceremony was stunning, and performed by a pastor who knows them well – which led to even more emotion and happy tears! Ellie & Dan were surrounded by handsome groomsmen and beautiful bridesmaids, all of whom looked quite dashing in their purple and gray outfits. Their ring bearer and flower girl were also absolutely adorable, and became the centers of attention more than once. They performed their duties flawlessly, however, and were pretty excited to be sharing in the wedding ceremony.
All of the little details of the Walters’ big day were spot-on, as well. The bouquets were stunning, and the aisle decor matched the theme perfectly. After the ceremony, friends and family joined the newlyweds at the Brooklyn Park Community Center, where they shared in a delicious dinner. The room was lined completed on one side by giant windows, leading to gorgeous lighting and lots of great photos. Dan & Ellie had a beautiful wedding cake that matched their color theme perfectly, along with beautiful candle-lit centerpieces throughout the reception room.
Dan & Ellie shared a first dance that had the whole room in tears, but friends were quick to recover and join them on the dance floor afterwards! Their wedding party led the show as they danced the night away – enjoying the last of their wedding day. The kiddos were the first to break-in the dance floor, and once they started, it was obvious that they weren’t going to stop without a fight!
My favorite moments of the evening came during the bouquet toss and the garter grab. Ellie was up first, and she had a few bridesmaids who were dying to catch that bouquet! Once Dan came up, he was quick to get the garter off – but struggled a bit in getting it tossed to a lucky guy in the crowd… I think he wanted to keep it.
Mr. & Mrs. Walter, your big day couldn’t have been any more perfect, and I am so lucky to have been a part of it! I hope newlywed life is treating you well, and I thank you for allowing me to share in such a special moment of your lives. If your wedding was any indication, I think the road ahead holds lots of good things for you both!
