Ann & Jeremy’s Love Story, Part One
Life always has a funny way of working out. Love, more than any other aspect in life, can be so incredibly hard to find – especially that Disney princess, dream come true, soulmate kind of love. Some are lucky enough to find it early in life, but for many, love needs a second chance.
When I meet a couple like Ann & Jeremy, my belief in “everything happening for a reason” is completely reinforced. It may have taken these two a little longer to find each other, but there is no doubt that they are absolutely meant to be together.
Ann is so bubbly and outgoing, and she really did light up every space we entered. Her cheerful attitude and happy disposition is contagious, as I’m sure her friends and family can confirm! It is no wonder that Jeremy met her and instantly fell in love.
Jeremy, on the other hand, is a tougher egg to crack. He instantly struck me as the level-headed, grounded one in the pair, and although quiet, I could tell that he had a goofy side hiding somewhere! Turns out, Ann is the thing that brings that side out, and the two of them were just adorable throughout our entire shoot.
We started out at an indoor park in Edina, which happened to be packed-full of small children: not the ideal engagement session location! Jeremy & Ann were total troopers as we worked our way through the crowds for some photos. I especially adore the close-up of Ann’s gorgeous engagement ring, and the way the green pops with the blue stones along her band.
Realizing that screaming children weren’t giving us the best backgrounds, we moved to Centennial Lakes, where we explored the park on our chilly February day. At one point, Ann & Jeremy were chatting on a bench while I was fumbling with changing lenses and cameras. I could hear them laughing and joking with one another, just like high school sweethearts would be. I was very excited to be capturing such a true and pure love on film – they are the kind of couple I dream about working with.
By the end of our session, Jeremy’s goofy, relaxed side had come out, and Ann couldn’t stop smiling. It was so much fun watching these two warm up and be themselves, and our pictures were absolutely adorable because of it!
During our lunch that afternoon, we chatted about their upcoming wedding. Ann & Jeremy are getting married in Minnesota, and heading right to a reception in Iowa afterwards, to be closer to Ann’s family. I’m really looking forward to a road trip with these two! If their wedding reflects even half of the love that they have for each other, I’m sure I (and everyone else there) will be crying happy tears the whole time. Can’t wait for July!
